PART – 3

Arjun stood still for a moment under the dim glow of the streetlight, his eyes locked onto the black car parked across the road, its presence no longer subtle but openly threatening, as if whoever was inside wanted him to notice, wanted him to feel the pressure building around him, yet instead of fear, Arjun felt a surge of determination, knowing that this was the moment where the hunter could become the hunted, and without wasting another second, he began walking directly toward the car, his خطوات steady and confident, refusing to show even the slightest hesitation.

As he approached, the car engine suddenly roared to life, breaking the silence of the night, and within seconds, the vehicle sped off, tires screeching against the empty road, but Arjun was ready for this, as he quickly jumped into his own car and began पीछा, his focus sharp as he navigated through the narrow streets of the city, following the black car at a dangerous speed, while the city lights blurred around him, turning the chase into a high-stakes game where one wrong move could end everything.

The chase led them out of the crowded city streets into a quieter, more isolated industrial area, where abandoned warehouses stood like silent witnesses to whatever secrets were hidden within, and finally, the black car came to a sudden stop near one of the warehouses, its doors opening slowly as two men stepped out, their faces partially hidden in the shadows, creating an atmosphere thick with tension, as Arjun pulled over at a distance and stepped out of his car, fully aware that he was walking into a potentially deadly situation.

One of the men gestured for Arjun to come closer, his body language calm yet intimidating, and as Arjun approached, he noticed that both men were armed, their hands resting casually near their weapons as if they were prepared for any sudden movement, but Arjun didn’t back down, instead, he maintained eye contact and asked the question that had been on his mind since the beginning, demanding to know who they were and why they had been following him, his voice steady despite the danger surrounding him.

The taller man stepped forward and spoke in a low, controlled tone, revealing that they were not there to kill him, at least not yet, but to deliver a warning, a message from someone far more powerful, someone who had been watching Arjun long before this case even began, and when Arjun pressed further, asking if that someone was “The Broker,” the man’s slight smile was enough to confirm his suspicion, sending a chill down his spine as he realized just how deep this situation had become.

The men warned him to stop the investigation immediately, claiming that Rajiv Malhotra’s death was just the beginning, and that digging any deeper would not only put his life at risk but also endanger those close to him, a threat that was clearly meant to shake him, yet Arjun’s expression remained unchanged, as he had faced threats before and knew that backing down was not an option, especially now that he was closer than ever to uncovering the truth.

Before leaving, the man handed Arjun a small envelope, telling him that if he truly wanted to understand what he was dealing with, he should look inside, and without another word, both men got back into the car and drove away, disappearing into the darkness as quickly as they had appeared, leaving Arjun alone in the silent industrial zone, holding the envelope that could either lead him to the truth or pull him deeper into danger.

As Arjun slowly opened the envelope, his eyes scanned its contents, and what he saw made his heart race, as it contained a photograph from years ago, one that connected Rajiv Malhotra, Nisha, and someone from Arjun’s own past, someone he had not thought about in a long time, making it clear that this case was not just about a murder, but about a story that had started long before he even realized, and now, there was no turning back.
